How to wash nylon in the Wascomat Crossover 2.0 Commercial Front Load

To wash nylon on a Wascomat Crossover 2.0 Commercial Front Load, select the Warm programme at 20C with a 400 rpm spin, add a suitable detergent and start the cycle. Nylon weakens and can shine or scorch under high heat. Wash cool on a synthetics cycle and air dry rather than tumble hot.

On the machine

  1. Turn the program selection buttons, COLD, WARM, HOT or DELICATE (HEAVY SOIL and EXTRA RINSE work with the first three, never with DELICATE) to Warm.
  2. Set the temperature to 20°C (program buttons themselves, where the button you press IS the temperature, and DELICATE always washes cold).
  3. Set the spin to 400 rpm (program itself, spin is fixed (Cold, Warm and Hot end with the full 6 minute extraction, Delicate with a shorter 2 minute one)).
  4. Add a suitable detergent and press green START button.

Why these settings

Nylon weakens and can shine or scorch under high heat. Wash cool on a synthetics cycle and air dry rather than tumble hot.

Nylon is strong but heat sensitive, wash cool and avoid high spin to protect the fibres.

Common questions

What temperature should I wash nylon at on a Wascomat Crossover 2.0 Commercial Front Load?

Wash nylon at 20C using the Warm programme on the Wascomat Crossover 2.0 Commercial Front Load. Nylon weakens and can shine or scorch under high heat.

What spin speed is safe for nylon?

Use 400 rpm. A gentler spin removes enough water without stressing the fibres. Wash cool on a synthetics cycle and air dry rather than tumble hot.

Do I need the care label to wash nylon?

No. Lavo identifies the fabric and condition from a photo of the garment itself and gives the exact setting for your Wascomat Crossover 2.0 Commercial Front Load, even when the care label is faded, cut out, or missing.

What happens if I wash nylon too hot?

Nylon weakens and can shine or scorch under high heat. That is why the safe setting here is 20C on the Warm programme.
