The Maytag MVW6230HW Top Load (agitator)'s programmes
- Normal/Regular: Normally soiled cottons, linens and mixed fabric loads. The cycle the energy rating was tested on, shipped set to Warm. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Towels: Towels, jeans, casual and mixed loads of sturdy fabrics, with extra water and alternating wash action. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Bulky Items: Large items such as sheets, sleeping bags, small comforters, jackets and small washable rugs, at the highest water level. Defaults to Medium spin. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Quick Wash: Lightly soiled, small mixed loads, using shorter periods of more intense washing. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Delicates: Lightly soiled items labelled Machine Washable Silks or Gentle cycle, small items in mesh bags. Higher water level, defaults to Cool and Medium spin. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Wrinkle Control: No-iron fabrics such as sports shirts, blouses, casual business clothes, perm press and blends. Defaults to Cool and Medium spin. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Colors: Darks and colours, including mixed loads and activewear. Defaults to Cool. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Heavy Duty: Overly soiled garments and sturdy items that need extra cleaning effort. Defaults to Hot. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Whites: Heavily soiled white fabrics, improves whitening with chlorine bleach. Defaults to Hot. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Sanitize with Oxi: Heavily soiled colourfast fabrics. Removes 99.9% of bacteria with an Oxi additive in the basket, Hot and Extra Heavy only. (up to 60°C, up to 750 rpm)
- Soak: Soaks small set-in stains with intermittent agitation, then drains without spinning, so follow it with a wash. (up to 60°C, up to 0 rpm)
- Drain & Spin: A high speed spin-out, or a rinse and spin with Extra Rinse added, for swimsuits and items that need rinsing without detergent. (up to 750 rpm)
- Clean Washer with affresh: Every 30 washes, with an affresh tablet or liquid chlorine bleach, basket empty.
