The Maytag MVW5035MW Top Load (agitator)'s programmes
- Normal: Normally soiled cottons and mixed-fabric loads. Defaults to Warm. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Towels: Towels, jeans, mixed loads and sturdy fabrics, with additional water and alternating wash action for heavily soiled loads. Defaults to Warm. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Quick Wash: Lightly soiled, small mixed loads washed quickly with shorter periods of more intense washing. Defaults to Warm. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Colors: Athletic wear, bright and dark colours and dark jeans. Defaults to Cool. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Delicates: Lightly soiled items labelled machine washable silks or gentle cycle, and hand-wash fabrics. Small items in mesh bags; uses a higher water level. Defaults to Cool. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Casual: No-iron fabrics, permanent press and synthetics, with a higher default water level. Defaults to Cool. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Bulky Items: Large items such as sheets, sleeping bags, small comforters, jackets and small washable rugs, wetted down before the wash and with a higher water level. Defaults to Warm. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Heavy Duty: Overly soiled garments and items that need additional cleaning effort. Defaults to Hot. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Whites: Heavily soiled white fabrics; with chlorine bleach it improves whitening. Defaults to Hot. (up to 60°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Clean Washer: Run every 30 washes, empty, with an affresh tablet or liquid chlorine bleach. Runs Hot.
- Rinse & Spin: Select Drain & Spin with the Extra Rinse option. A Tap Cold rinse and high-speed spin for swimsuits, rinse-only loads or to finish a load after a power cut. (up to 20°C, up to 770 rpm)
- Drain & Spin: Spins to shorten drying times for heavy fabrics or hand-washed items, or drains the washer after a cancelled cycle. (up to 770 rpm)
